Candidate Pay Rate: $85 - $59.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans
  • Diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to improve communication and safety
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and adapt interventions as residents progress
  • Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and revise plans of care as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate care
  • Educate residents and caregivers on communication strategies and swallowing safety to enhance independence
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with facility standards

Qualifications

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; compassionate approach to resident care

Education

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Clear, timely clinical documentation practices
