Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Neuro PCU patients with a 4-5:1 patient ratio
• Lead the unit as charge nurse, coordinating patient flow and supporting the care team
• Monitor telemetry and neurological status, responding quickly to changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans
• Document accurately in the Meditech EMR system
• Float to other PCU and Med/Surg units as needed
• Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications and follow unit protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact or state-specific)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience with charge experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• PCU skill competency required
• Neuro competency preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong PCU and neuro assessment skills
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Charge nurse leadership abilities
• Meditech EMR proficiency
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Ability to float across PCU and Med/Surg units
