Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care across ICU, NICU, PICU, and medical-surgical units
• Set up, manage, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Assist physicians with intubation and emergency airway management
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analyze results to guide treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory management and self-care

Qualifications

• Active RRT or CRT certification from the NBRC
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 6 months of recent acute care hospital respiratory therapy experience
• Strong ventilator management and airway support skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in fast-paced environments

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and techniques
• Proficiency in ventilator management and ABG analysis
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Experience in NICU and PICU settings preferred
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
