Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry patients and interpret cardiac rhythms to detect changes in condition
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a 32-bed telemetry/med-surg unit
• Administer medications, start IVs and foleys, and assist with chest tube removal
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of RNs, CNAs, and sitters to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Deliver compassionate post-operative care, including for post-op CABG patients
• Chart accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital telemetry experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience caring for post-op CABG patients preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Outgoing, team-player attitude with initiative and adaptability

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to start IVs, insert foleys, and assist with chest tube removal
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratio environment
