Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients undergoing knee and hip replacements, as well as complex spine surgeries
• Monitor vital signs and assess post-operative recovery, stepping in quickly when something feels off
• Administer medications and manage pain control to keep patients comfortable and safe
• Educate patients and families on recovery plans, exercises, and wound care so they leave confident
• Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and nurse navigators to create a seamless care experience
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• 2+ years of strong orthopedic nursing experience
• Experience with post-operative care for joint replacement and spine surgery patients
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and able to float when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of orthopedic nursing procedures, including care for knee and hip replacements
• Proficient in Meditech documentation system
• Skilled in post-operative management and pain control
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
