Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterile and ready
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations, anticipating their needs
• Monitor patient vitals and anesthesia during surgery, responding to any changes
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control guidelines
• Document all intraoperative care and communicate clearly with recovery teams
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute care OR experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to surgical patients
• Flexibility and outstanding teamwork skills are essential

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR systems
• Experience with Ortho/Spine, Cardiovascular, General, and Robotics cases
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
