Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor using advanced electronic fetal monitoring
• Provide high-risk obstetric care and immediate newborn care in the delivery room
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections, including circulating duties
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and CSTs to ensure safe, compassionate care
• Document care accurately in Cerner EMR and manage infusion pumps with precision
• Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and postpartum with empathy and professionalism

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics and immediate newborn care is essential
• Circulating experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink for charting
• Proficient with Baxter infusion pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
• Strong understanding of maternal-fetal assessment and high-risk interventions
• Ability to stay calm and adaptable in a fast-paced, 16-bed unit
• Outgoing, friendly, and team-oriented personality
