Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-risk obstetrical care to mothers and babies throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs, intervening promptly to ensure safe outcomes
• Circulate during cesarean sections and assist with vaginal deliveries, D&C, and post-delivery recovery care
• Recover high-acuity patients, assessing for complications and providing emergency interventions as needed
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of obstetricians, nurses, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
• Document care accurately in Meditech and CPN, maintaining compliance with hospital policies
• Float to the antepartum unit when needed, supporting the full spectrum of women's services

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• At least 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience
• Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate required
• BLS certification
• Experience with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
• Ability to circulate in cesarean sections and recover high-acuity patients
• Willingness to float to the antepartum unit as needed
