Shift Type: Day shifts, 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM, with approximately 120 hours of call per contract (self-scheduled between weekdays and weekends). One weekend shift required per 6 weeks, block scheduling available.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the operating room with instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment before each case
• Assist surgeons during General, Neuro, and Robotics procedures by passing instruments and anticipating their needs
• Maintain a sterile field and uphold the highest standards of patient safety
• Collaborate with the surgical team across 16 suites handling about 30 cases per day
• Support patient positioning, draping, and turnover between cases to keep the day running smoothly
• Document care accurately in EPIC and communicate clearly with the whole surgical crew

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Active Colorado DORA license is a must
• At least 2 years of operating room experience
• Comfortable scrubbing in on General, Neuro, and Robotics cases
• Ready to be in state for orientation week, even if the first day is remote

• Experience or 'Must have' skills General, Neuro, Robotics
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor N/A
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Set schedules, option to block
• Weeknight/Call Requirements ~120 hours of call total per contract, self scheduled between weekday and weekend
• Weekend/Call Requirements One weekend shift required per 6 weeks
• Holiday/Call Requirements preferred, not required
• What is call response time? 30 mins, we have a sleep room to stay on sight if needed
• Floating Requirements None, If an extreme need could float within Zone 1: PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM
• Scrub Color/Dress Code Scrubs provided
• Unit/Department specific orientation 1 week
• Specialty: OR Tech

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong general surgery foundation with ortho and spine exposure
• Robotics and neuro case familiarity
• Experience with urology and ENT procedures is a plus
• EPIC charting proficiency
• Confident instrument handling and sterile technique
• Calm, teamwork-first mindset in a fast-paced OR
