Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Sterilize and organize surgical tools and equipment according to hospital protocols
• Monitor patient vital signs and assist with positioning during surgery
• Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience
• Travel experience preferred
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
• Proficient in Cerner Surginet EMR
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced OR environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
