Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable day shifts, 6:00 AM or 10:00 AM start, 8-10 hour shifts, with overnight call once per week and weekend call 3 days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a fast-paced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) performing open heart surgeries
Set up and maintain sterile fields, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready
Anticipate surgeon needs during CABG, valve replacements, and other cardiac procedures
Collaborate with the OR team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal outcomes
Take call shifts including overnight and weekends as part of a supportive team

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience required
BLS and NIHSS certifications mandatory
Strong surgical tech skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Willingness to float to other Sacramento facilities if needed (rare)
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EKG interpretation and monitoring
Experience with Cerner EMR system
Knowledge of sterile technique and OR protocols
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
