Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures in the operating room
Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all instruments are ready
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments efficiently
Handle specimens and ensure proper labeling and documentation
Collaborate with the OR team to promote a safe and effective environment

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of experience in CVOR or cardiac surgery
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure
