Location: Bismarck, ND

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, with mandatory call 3-4 nights per week (3:15 PM - 6:45 AM) and every other to every third weekend (Friday 3:15 PM - Monday 6:45 AM)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in open heart surgeries including CABG, valve replacements, and aneurysm repairs
First scrub for complex CVOR procedures such as thoracotomies, VATS, and robotic cases
Cross-train to general OR specialties when CV volumes are low, supporting ortho or general cases
Participate in on-call rotation including weeknights and weekends to ensure 24/7 coverage
Collaborate with a close-knit team in a family-oriented department

Qualifications

Active BLS certification required
CST or NCCT certification required
ND UAP certification required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
Must be able to first scrub and willing to cross-train

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in open heart procedures (CABG, valves, aneurysms)
Proficiency in first scrub techniques
Familiarity with Stryker towers and robotic systems
Ability to adapt to low-volume periods by floating to other OR specialties or patient sitting
