Roles & Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and process medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Monitor patient medication therapy for therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness
• Provide drug information and education to patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Respond to medical emergencies by preparing medications and offering clinical support
• Coordinate daily pharmacy technician activities to optimize patient care

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing
• Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. from an accredited pharmacy college
• At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

• Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. degree from an American College of Pharmacy Education

• Hospital pharmacy operations and regulations
• Medication therapy management and patient monitoring
• Drug information and emergency response
• Ohio pharmacy laws and standards
• Team collaboration and technician supervision
• Computerized order entry and pharmacy systems
