Education

• ·
• Must have CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence), BLS, &
• Florida license
• List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):
• ·
• Typical Speech evals and treats daily.
• ·
• Passy Muir valve trials, as well as tolerance trials
• ·
• Modified Barium Swallow (MBS)
• ·
• Cognitive assessments
• ·
• Caregiver training
• ·
• Language assessments - expressive and receptive
• ·
• Comfortable with Interdisciplinary communication with Physicians /
• Residents
• Additional Preferences: (ex:
• previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit,
• can function well independently)
• ·
• Easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently
• (will be only speech therapist for adult inpatient majority of time)
• ·
• Must be comfortable doing outpatient and inpatient Modified Barium
• Swallow (MBS) studies
• ·
• Must be comfortable treating patients in the ICU, CVIUCU. In
• addition, must be able to trach patients.
• ·
• Must be comfortable prioritizing patients in different units /
• floors
• ·
• Must be able to do 2 weekend days a month.
