Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in residents
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve communication and swallowing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery
• Document progress and maintain accurate patient records
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and safety
• Advocate for patients’ needs within the facility

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a valid state license
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Assessment techniques for speech and language disorders
• Therapeutic intervention strategies
• Documentation and charting
• Team collaboration
• Patient education
