Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting
• Develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery
• Document progress and maintain accurate clinical records
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and home exercises

Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in West Virginia
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Clinical experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with assessment tools and therapeutic techniques
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities
• Patient education and family counseling
