• Charting System: Cerner
• Unit Notes: - Department: RT
• # of Treatments: Average of 2 RT depending on census 2 - 4. They make assignments based off acuities. (Approximately 25-30 acuities per shift)
• Certs: BLS, PALS, NRP, ACLS, CA license & must be certified RT
• EMR: Cerner
• Charge Nurse: Charge RT & Lead therapist will do admin days so will jump in & help w/ treatments. Lead is here 1-2 days/week.
• Weekend Requirement: every other weekend
• Holidays: Work into the perm staff holiday schedule
• Scrub Color: Black
• Vents: Yes
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Both are in house, not 24/7, on-call after hours
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: In house until 10 pm. 24/7 access - pharmacy out of Dominican hospital after hours does auto verification, Do have an on-call pharmacist.
• Shifts: 6:30 - 6:30 for both day & night shifts
• Floor specific orientation: Depending on experience anywhere from 1-3 days
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Typical Inpatient population that require respiratory therapy
• Additional Notes: OK if don't have NICU experience but this would be preferred. Must have Ped & Adult experience
