Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, comprehensive nursing care to women and children across labor & delivery, postpartum, and pediatric units
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs during labor, ensuring timely interventions
• Educate new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and safety
• Advocate for the health and well-being of mothers and babies, responding quickly to any changes in condition

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Illinois (or active compact license) - fresh graduates welcome if certified
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NRP certification
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Experience or strong interest in women's and children's health
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to work night shifts and rotate weekends/holidays
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
