Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to neurosurgery and neurology patients
• Monitor and assess neurological status, manage acute changes, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision and care
• Educate patients and families on recovery plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
• Float to West Campus when needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa (or compact state) - we can help with licensing!
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent MS Neuro experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Willingness to float and adapt to changing unit needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neurological assessments and interventions
• Ability to manage complex patient populations with multiple comorbidities
• Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment
