Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Every weekend, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients with diverse health needs
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor vital signs, responding quickly to any changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and self-care strategies
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and uphold a safe, healing environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state (or willing to obtain before start)
- Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
- Med/Surg nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work every weekend night shift
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Med/Surg nursing best practices and protocols
- Patient assessment and monitoring techniques
- IV therapy and medication administration
- Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Time management in a fast-paced clinical setting
