Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status with precision
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate and support patients and their families during challenging times
• Document patient assessments and responses accurately and thoroughly

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state (license verification required)
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous ICU experience is highly preferred
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing skills including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency in medication administration and titration
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Effective communication and patient advocacy
