Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and lab values to detect changes in patient status
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage ventilators with precision and confidence
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery expectations
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, stabilizing patients and supporting life-saving interventions

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Iowa (or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required (all must be current)
• Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care nursing, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and lab results
• Skill in patient assessment, prioritization, and crisis intervention
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to use electronic health records and medical equipment
