Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical units
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to emergencies
• Accurately document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Uphold infection control and safety protocols to maintain a healing environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact license (where applicable)
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience in Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
• Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and holidays as needed
• Completion of Trinity Health skills checklist and specialty competency testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in emergency care and medical-surgical nursing practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to stay calm and act quickly in high-pressure situations
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
