RN - Bed Placement/Patient Placement

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week; day and night shifts available; self-scheduling after first schedule; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period (Nights: Fri & Sat; Days: Sat & Sun); no block guarantee; must be able to work holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Place patients in appropriate hospital units using critical thinking and clinical knowledge
Coordinate bed assignments across multiple hospitals using TeleTracking and Cerner
Communicate with charge nurses and leadership to ensure appropriate patient placement
Manage real-time requests from ED, leadership, and other departments via multiple applications
Ensure safe and efficient patient flow while maintaining zero hands-on patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license (any state compact license accepted)
2 years of recent acute care experience preferred (no more than one assignment in LTC/SNF)
Must pass a Dyslexia Exam (Relias) with two attempts allowed
No direct employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within the past year

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in TeleTracking and Cerner systems
Strong computer skills, including Zoom and Google Applications
Excellent multitasking and customer service abilities
Knowledge of hospital units and appropriate bed placements
Critical thinking to identify inappropriate bed requests
