Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients
• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, and mechanical ventilation as ordered
• Monitor patient response, adjust therapies, and document outcomes accurately
• Educate patients and families on breathing techniques, equipment use, and disease management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team to optimize respiratory care

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Minimum 0 years of experience – new graduates are welcome
• Strong communication and critical‑thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Airway management and ventilator support
• Pulmonary function testing and interpretation
• Medication delivery systems (nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP/BiPAP)
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Electronic health record documentation
