Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulized treatments, and ventilator support as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on breathing techniques, equipment use, and disease management
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule with every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pulmonary function testing and interpretation
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilators and airway management devices
• Ability to read and analyze arterial blood gases
• Understanding of respiratory pharmacology and therapy protocols
• Excellent critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities
