Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day Shift) and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shift), plus 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients
• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings to optimize patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment use
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting in Cerner EMR
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with North Carolina Respiratory License
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in critical care or similar setting
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible day and night shifts, including weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Use of GE R860, Draeger, Newport HT70, V60, Vapotherm, Comfort Flow devices
• EMR proficiency (Cerner)
• Critical care protocols and procedures
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
