Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care to patients in a medical unit setting
• Operate and manage respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed for respiratory conditions
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Document all care provided accurately and timely using electronic health records
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and home care techniques

Qualifications

• Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
• CDCR and EHRS experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems
• Fully vaccinated preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of respiratory care principles and practices
• Proficiency in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting (RCASM, RCEQP)
• Competency in medication administration (RCMED)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs
• Commitment to patient safety and infection control protocols
