Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care to critically ill patients
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor and manage ventilators, airways, and oxygen therapy
• Educate patients and families on breathing treatments and equipment
• Document patient responses and adjust therapies as needed
• Respond quickly to emergency codes and rapid response teams

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license or compact eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Comfortable working night shifts in an acute care hospital setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ventilator management and airway support
• Knowledge of oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and pulmonary diagnostics
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making in emergencies
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Compassionate bedside manner with a focus on patient safety
