Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Start Date: 07-20-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, varying weekends (at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients across adult and pediatric critical care units
- Perform assessments, administer treatments, and monitor patient responses
- Operate and manage advanced ventilators (GE R860, Draeger) and non-invasive devices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document care accurately in Cerner EMR
Qualifications
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist in North Carolina
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required (no CRT submissions)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- NRP certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in ventilator management (adult and pediatric)
- Experience with high-flow oxygen devices and non-invasive ventilation
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
