Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients across adult and pediatric service lines
• Manage mechanical ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen devices
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results to guide therapy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and safety
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and equipment
• Participate in code blue and rapid response teams as needed

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Respiratory License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in acute care setting
• Experience with GE R860, Draeger, and V60 ventilators a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation, airway management, and critical care protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Proficiency in Cerner EMR
