Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill patients across adult and NICU/Peds units
• Manage and monitor advanced ventilators and non-invasive ventilation devices
• Perform emergency respiratory interventions and CPR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient responses and adjust treatment plans using Cerner EMR
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Respiratory License is required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• NRP certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in adult and pediatric ventilator management (GE R860, Draeger infant/peds vents, Newport HT70)
• Experienced with high-flow oxygen devices (Vapotherm, Comfort Flow)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced Level II trauma center environment
