Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition
• Administer wound care, tracheostomy, and ostomy care
• Manage IV pumps, PCA pumps, and heparin infusions
• Perform post‑operative care for amputations, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Document patient care using Meditech
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care
• Adhere to infection control and medication safety protocols
• Provide bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1–2 hours
• Float over core staff to support unit staffing needs

Qualifications

• 2+ years of nursing experience in acute care settings
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of wound care, tracheostomy, ostomy, chest tube, and dialysis management
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
