Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and provide basic nursing care
• Manage wound care, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes
• Administer dialysis and PCA pump therapy
• Conduct heparin infusions and post-operative care
• Document all care accurately using Meditech
• Ensure medication scanning and controlled substance safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
• Float over core staff to maintain unit stability

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and basic nursing care
• Wound care, tracheostomy, ostomy, drain and chest tube management
• Stroke and seizure management
• Dialysis and PCA pump operation
• Heparin infusion protocols
• Meditech documentation
• Safety checks and HAI prevention
