Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care on a 29-bed Tele/PCU cardiac unit
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and continuous pulse oximetry to catch changes early
• Perform respiratory and cardiac assessments with confidence and precision
• Administer blood transfusions and start IVs while keeping patients comfortable and informed
• Manage midline and central line removals safely and skillfully
• Support high fall risk patient populations with vigilance and a watchful eye
• Chart accurately in Meditech EMR to keep the whole care team in the loop
• Float to Med Surg, Tele, PCU, or ED when needed and bring your can-do attitude
• Collaborate with CNs, PCTs, UCs, RT, case managers, and rehab to keep care seamless
• Educate patients and families so they feel confident about the road ahead

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• At least 1 year of telemetry experience, this one is a must-have
• NIH Stroke certification is a nice plus and moves you to the front of the line
• PALS, ICU, Tele, or PCU experience is welcomed and preferred
• A team player mindset with plenty of self-motivation
• Engaged, dependable, and ready to jump in when the unit needs you
