Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to cardiac and telemetry patients in a 29-bed private room unit
• Monitor telemetry strips and continuous pulse oximetry to catch changes early
• Perform thorough respiratory and cardiac assessments on every patient
• Administer blood transfusions safely and confidently
• Start IVs and assist with midline and central line removals
• Care for high fall risk patient populations with a watchful, compassionate eye
• Document accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RTs, CNs, case managers, rehab, and throughput managers
• Float across Med Surg, Tele, PCU, and ED as unit needs arise
• Educate patients and families so they feel informed and supported

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• At least 1 year of telemetry experience
• Ability to float to Med Surg, Tele, PCU, and ED as needed
• Comfort wearing Navy Blue scrubs per unit dress code
• Availability for weekend shifts
• Nice to have: NIH Stroke Prepared, PALS, ICU, Tele, or PCU experience
• A team player mindset with self-motivation and genuine engagement
