Education

• Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Brain injury
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Sub acute/acute hospital, must have at least 6 months nursing experience in the care of acute respiratory failure patients
• Are RNs required to titrate drips? No
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips: N/A
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? As needed
• Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes 1:10
• RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, Bi Pap, etc): No
• Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? No
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 12 hr shifts, no self scheduling or block scheduling
• Weekend Requirements: EOW
• Holiday Requirements: 1 major holiday
• Is there call or a standby requirement? No
