Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with complex conditions including sepsis, heart failure, and respiratory failure
Monitor and assess patients in a 16-20 bed step-down unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to manage chronic kidney disease, COPD, and hypertensive emergencies
Respond quickly to changes in patient status and deliver life-saving interventions when needed
Educate patients and families about their conditions and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent step-down or progressive care experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Experience caring for patients with sepsis, heart failure, and respiratory failure
Comfort managing chronic conditions like COPD and kidney disease
Ability to handle high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
