Shift Type: Rotating nights, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM; 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on (12-hour night shifts, 84-hour biweekly cycle) - Night shift
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing services and direct care to ensure residents receive compassionate, high-quality care
- Administer and accurately document medications, treatments and monitoring (e.g., glucose checks) and report resident responses
- Transcribe physician orders and assist with physician rounds, examinations and treatments
- Review and update individualized care plans; lead the team to implement clear, time-limited goals
- Oversee and mentor nursing assistants and LPNs; assist with annual evaluations and orientation of new staff
- Collect and document laboratory specimens and ensure proper handling and requisition completion
- Manage resident transfers, update transfer forms and communicate changes to families and department heads
- Complete monthly summaries, incident reports and daily wing reports to maintain continuity of care
- Count narcotics with a second nurse, document drug disposal, and maintain accurate inventories of resident belongings
- Maintain a safe, clean environment, submit maintenance requests and monitor infection control compliance
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license required (temporary work permit accepted at time of interview)
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- New graduates welcome — bring your enthusiasm and we'll support your transition
- Nursing home / CCRC / skilled nursing experience is a plus
- Strong communication, observation and documentation skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage emergency situations
- Comfort supervising teams, adjusting staffing assignments and participating in quality assurance activities
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) — RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Care plan development and care plan review processes
- EHR/EMR experience (PCC documented in job posting)
- Infection control practices and medical asepsis
- Specimen collection and lab requisition handling
- Narcotics counting and safe drug disposal procedures
- Post-mortem procedures and respectful handling of resident belongings
- Team leadership, staff coaching and performance monitoring
- Familiarity with body mechanics, resident personal care and equipment use
