Education

• Common diagnoses/Types of patients Postpartum baginal, csection, newborn
• Experience or 'Must have' skills Postpartum experience that included taking care and baby
• Are RNs required to titrate drips? No
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips No
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? There is a charge on and House Supervisor at night. The charge does not take patients
• Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? No
• OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? Yes OB, NNP in house 24/7
• Anesthesia in house 24/7? Yes OB, NNP in house 24/7
• RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, Bi Pap, etc) No
• Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? No tele techs, RNs just need to visualize pulse ox reading
• EFM System Epic
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 6 week block scheduling
• Weekend Requirements Every third weekend
• Holiday Requirements If its summer time on holiday during the summer and winter would be 2 winter holidays
• Is there a call or standby requirement? Yes there is call-
• It would be 18 hours of call every 6 weeks.
