Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to postpartum mothers during recovery
• Monitor high-risk antepartum patients and manage complications
• Assess and care for newborns in the nursery
• Perform IV placements and administer medications with precision
• Educate new families on newborn care and postpartum health
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted)
• BLS and NRP certification required
• 2+ years of hospital experience in postpartum or newborn nursery
• Experience caring for high-risk antepartum patients
• Nice to have: Advanced FM, RNC-OB, or Meditech experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in IV placement
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation system (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
