• Active Virginia RN license or multi4state compact privilege, PALS, BLS and

• Requested Skill Set:
• Must have : Recent bedside PICU experience and strong
• pediatric assessment skills, ability to recognize deterioration and respond
• to pediatric emergencies, competency in weight-based medication
• administration, IV therapy, and family centered care, strong communication,
• teamwork and prioritization skills
• Advanced skills needed:
• Care of pediatric patients requiring mechanical ventilation, high-flow
• oxygen, and noninvasive respiratory support, management if continuous
• medication infusions, including sedation and vasoactive medications, central
• line care and invasive monitoring, experience care for patients with
• respiratory failure, DKA, sepsis and status epilepticus
• Procedures performed on unit: Peripheral
• IV placement, venipuncture, and specimen collection, central line management,
• urinary catheter and nasogastric/orogastric tube insertion, assistance with
• intubation, lumbar puncture, and central line placement., emergency
• stabilization and pediatric resuscitation
• Certifications Required:
• BLS/PALS
