Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert bedside care to critically ill pediatric patients with compassion and confidence
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, including ETT and HFOV respiratory support
• Support conscious sedation procedures while keeping your littlest patients safe and comfortable
• Place and maintain central lines, keeping every line clean, secure and ready
• Perform venous punctures and CT placement with precision and a gentle touch
• Partner with a close-knit team of 9 bedside RNs, a free charge nurse and PCTs
• Guide and reassure families through some of their most stressful days

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state license
• Minimum 1 year of current PICU RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Post op cardiac experience is a plus
• A flexible, humble and helpful personality that fits right in

Knowledge & Skills

• Conscious sedation
• Care of respiratory failure including ETT and HFOV
• CT placement
• Central line maintenance and care
• Venous puncture
• Post op cardiac experience
• Meditech EMR familiarity
• Philip monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
