Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to pediatric ICU patients and their families
• Manage ventilator settings and monitor hemodynamic status
• Perform IV starts, central line dressing changes, and tube feedings
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Utilize Cerner documentation system for accurate patient records

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience
• Ability to float to Peds and NICU as needed
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric Intensive Care and ventilator management
• IV starts, catheter insertion, and central line care
• Hemodynamic monitoring and ICP monitoring
• Trach care and tube feeding management
• Comfortable with holding for LPs and other procedures
