Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients on a med/surg unit
• Manage post-operative care for procedures including cleft palate repair, chest tube management, and thoracoscopies
• Monitor and support patients with seizure management and lumbar punctures
• Float to NICU Level 1 or 2 as needed, providing skilled care to newborns and infants
• Collaborate with a supportive team where everyone helps everyone for the best patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric or med/surg nursing experience
• ACLS certification preferred
• Comfortable floating to NICU Level 1 or 2
• Active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Knowledge of pediatric med/surg patient care and acuity
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to support neuro, ortho, gen surg, and thoracic cases
• Comfortable with noninvasive cardiology and no neurosurgery/stroke cases
