Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients in a dynamic 28-bed unit
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions with precision and empathy
• Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
• Float to med-surg and PCU units within the same level of care when required
• Ensure hourly rounding and patient experience excellence
• Embrace a culture of teamwork and mutual support

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med-surg experience
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification required (chemotherapy certification preferred)
• Willingness to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
• Driver's license required at submission for distance verification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps and various monitoring equipment
• Competence in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (training available)
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment
