Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (days) and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), with every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a progressive care unit
Monitor patients with drips like heparin, cardizem, and manage chemotherapy administration
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
Ensure hourly rounding and patient safety
Participate in patient education and support from diagnosis to remission or end-of-life care
Uphold a team-oriented mindset and treat every patient with respect and dignity

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact license accepted)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of PCU/MedSurg/Oncology experience
Chemotherapy certification preferred
Must be willing to float within scope
First-time travelers are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of PCU level care, including titration of drips (insulin, cardizem, heparin)
Proficiency in EPIC EMR
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to provide culturally competent care
Comfort with oncology patient population
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-unit environment
