Shift Type: Cyclic 12‑hour shifts rotating day and night: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, with every other weekend schedule

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a step‑down PCU, monitoring cardiac and neuro status
• Titrate and manage drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond to alarms promptly
• Collaborate with charge nurse on patient assignments and care plans
• Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and care coordination
• Assist with CPAP/BiPAP and high‑flow oxygen therapy as needed
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Experience with cardiac, stroke, and respiratory patients
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry data
• Strong teamwork and positive attitude
