Education

• Common diagnoses/Types of patients Pneumonia, ARDS, Covid-19 infection, HTN Urgency, Angina, cardiac cath patients, ETOH Withdrawal
• Experience or 'Must have' skills PCU experience
• Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, Dobutamine
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Yes 24/7 charge nurse and House Sup
• Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios yes 1:10
• RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, Bi Pap, etc) CPAP, BIPAP, HIGH FLOW OXYGEN
• Is there tele on this unit? Monitor techs? RNs read strips? REMOTE MONITOR TECHS WITH RN APPROVAL
• Shifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts 1800-0630
• Weekend Requirement every other
• Holiday Requirement yes, 2 of the winter holidays
• Is there a call or standby requirement? standby possible if we have extra staff only
